The Automation Specialist will play a critical role in CFRA’s Data Team, focusing on automating workflows, data pipelines, and reporting processes. This role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and scalability in handling large datasets, enabling analysts and business stakeholders to deliver timely insights to clients.

Key Responsibilities
Process Automation
- Streamline repetitive tasks across data collection, aggregation and ETL workflows within CFRA.
- Design, build, and maintain automation solutions for data ingestion, transformation, and reporting.
- Identify and implement KPIs to measure the impact of newly created automated processes.
Collaboration & Support
- Partner with financial data specialists, subject matter experts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities.
- Shadow analyst workflows and other processes to gather requirements for automation activities.
- Document automation processes, workflows, and technical specifications.
- Provide training and support to end-users on automation tools and solution
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure automated workflows meet accuracy, timeliness, and compliance standards.
- Implement monitoring and alerting systems to proactively detect and resolve issues.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated on emerging automation technologies (RPA, AI-driven data processing, cloud-native automation) and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Prior experience in financial services, investment research, or asset management.
- Understanding of data governance, compliance, and audit requirements in financial data environments.
- Certifications in RPA tools, cloud automation, or data engineering.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 3+ years of related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Strong experience with automation models (Haiku, Claude. Gemini, GPT models, Gemini Pro 2.5 for Large documents, Search, Analysis) and scripting languages (Python, SQL).
- Knowledge of financial datasets, particularly ETFs, mutual funds, and market indices.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and data pipeline orchestration tools (Airflow).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Prior experience in financial services, investment research, or asset management.
- Understanding of data governance, compliance, and audit requirements in financial data environments.
- Certifications in RPA tools, cloud automation, or data engineering.
