3E is expanding its SDS Authoring team in our fastest-growing office in Sofia.
The Chemicals Compliance Specialist for the SDS Authoring Optimization team supports all facets of the SDS authoring process for our diverse customer base. In this role, you will use 3E Generate, our proprietary authoring platform to maintain and review primary data and review and revise generated SDS for global markets. You will collaborate with the rest of the Authoring team to support customer inquiries regarding SDS and related regulatory data. You will also be responsible for continuously improving 3E Generate processes and knowledge base.
We are looking for candidates with SDS Authoring, strong chemistry knowledge, regulatory compliance, or related experience within the sciences sector, including chemical compliance, product stewardship, or related fields. What You Will Do

  • Prepare compliant Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and other regulatory documentation using 3E Generate - our proprietary platform - for a number of different customers in the chemical, automotive, and pharmaceutical industry.
  • Work collaboratively with customers to collect data needed to prepare SDS and clarify regulatory questions.
  • Acts as Project Manager for clients. Lead projects to completion.
  • Determine and maintain chemical composition of products based on information provided by chemical manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Assess chemical products for hazard-classification (i.e. UN GHS, EU CLP, US OSHA, Canadian WHMIS)
  • Assess products for marketability in global markets
  • Assess products for dangerous goods classification
  • Communicate directly with our customers as needed, supporting their understanding of our SDS authoring process and addressing issues and questions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What Makes You A Great Fit

  • Minimum Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training in science related field
  • Knowledge any of the following chemical regulations required: BPR – Biocidal Product Regulations, PPP – Plant Protection Productions, EU Classification, Labelling & Packaging - CLP, REACH, US OSHA, or Canadian HPR
  • Working knowledge in one or more transportation regulations helpful (e.g.ADR, ADN, DOT, IATA, IMDG, etc.).
  • Classification experience helpful (e.g. UN Purple book - GHS, US OSHA, EU CLP, Canadian HPR, NFPA, etc.).
  • Good analytical and written communication skills
  • Strong teamwork and customer relationship skills. Good interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Strong desire to learn and grow within a global organization
  • Language skills: Fluency in English to work with global customers
  • Preferred/Desired:
  • Customer facing role experience
  • Certification and/or working knowledge of transportation regulations such as ADR, RID, IATA and IMDG
  • Experience with at least one of the SDS authoring platforms such as SAP EHS, 3E Generate, WERCS, etc.
